Coming soon: Matcha Workshop with Japanese Wagashi
Matcha, the Japanese ceremonial tea, is powdered green tea that's whisked into water, creating a totally unique drink. Diving into the world of matcha can be difficult, however, if you're not yet aware of some of its realities. You'll get to a nice start right away with our matcha course, and you'll also definitely drink enough matcha to keep you going for the rest of the day. We suggest booking the workshop for the daytime if you're worried about the caffeine (total estimate around 200 mg) affecting your sleep.
Wagashi are traditional Japanese hand-crafted sweets, typically free from dairy, lactose, nuts, and eggs, making them suitable for vegetarians and those with food sensitivities. They offer not only a delightful visual experience but also the joy of savoring seasonal autumn ingredients.
Included in this matcha course:
introduction to matcha and its traditional-style preparation
trying three different matcha teas
step-by-step matcha preparation (hands-on)
some useful tips
seasonal wagashi hand-crafted by a Japanese artisan
Duration: 1 hour 45 mins
This workshop is limited to 18 participants — secure your spot soon!
Please note that tickets for this event are non-refundable.
